The reverse smile line is replaced by negative anterior space, which is least aesthetic according to Tjan et al 1984

We need to restore this dark anterior corridor (anterior negative space) to improve the interplay of all compositional elements of anterior smile dynamics. That is to fill this area with missing tooth mass that has occurred as a result of accelerated tooth wear, changes in facial tone, and loss of collagen and elastin fibers.
